Firstly, I would like to introduce Manohar – Unmarshal’s CEO & Founder who joins our AMA and shares us everything about Unmarshal
UNMARSHAL: Hi everyone. Really excited to talk to you all. Hope everyone is doing great. My name is manohara. I am the Founder and CEO of Unmarshal. A Multichain DeFi data network. We aim to build the easiest way to query custom data from blockchains.
I am from engineering background worked in Grab Singapore for last 3-4 years.
TAG : Could you please introduce your team and Unmarshal ?
UNMARSHAL.: Unmarshal current has around 9 people.
We are engineering heavy team. 6 work in engineering and 3 work in marketting and Business development.
Our CTO shivakumar has 8 years of experience in software development. He consulted with Gojek
Our COO nishanth has around 13years of experience in IT. And Yogesh is our CMO he has 6 years of experience in Marketting. I started consulting on one of the Defi Aggregation layer. They were struggling to get the data from blockchain. Existing solutions only provide the basic data. we want to be end to end decoded data.
TAG: And then, could you tell us what are the competitive advantages of Unmarshal compared to other projects?
UNMARSHAL: Compared to someone like graph who just index specific protocol data, who sit close to blockchain. We are more end to end data providers. Our network will have indexers, decoders and transformation tools.
We provide data in APIs. Push notifications, Webhooks and Analytic dashboards.
We provide rich data with price information
We will also provide customised data.
Most importantly client dont have to write more than one line of code.
TAG : And could you please share with us some new upcoming events, as well as big partners Unmarshal has been working with during its development period ?
UNMARSHAL: Unmarshal team is tirelessly working on some of major features promised in Unmarshal network. We are partnerring with some of the biggest layer 1 chains. We are heavily building tools for Polkadot ecosystem. With respect to product updates, we will be releasing our Smart notification Service.which will be a bigger project on its own. I think it will change the way how transaction and updates are delivered to Defi users. Most of our products would be released for BSC first.

What is your background and how did you come to the idea to create Unmarshal project? Why did you choose the name Unmarshal? Does it have special meaning and is there any story behind this name?
UNMARSHAL: Interesting question. Technically Unmarshal means to decode the data into a context object. meaning convert the raw unstructured data in more meaningful and rich data.
As I told earlier, I was consulting with a firm that were struggling with their data requirements. I joined them as consultant to help them. after trying to use graph and other providers we decided to index the chains because Graph was not helping us without requirments, when I spoke to few more Defi applications they also felt the same and wanted to have an end to end solution,That when we decided to start Unmarshal.
Our aim is to build a network where anyone who wants to access blockchain data for whatever information in whichever way, Unmarshal should be able to help them.

Partnership is always an important factor for every project. So who is Unmarshal’s partner? What are the benefits you get from those relationships?
UNMARSHAL: We are partnerring with few of great layer 1 protocols. We will be announcing about them shortly. We look forward to work closely with them to provide custom data solutions and in return onboard their community into Unmarshal network as clients and other roles. To face your competitors, How do you make your project truly Strong & Unique?
UNMARSHAL: We are unique in the way we support our clients.
- 1. Customized solutions – exactly what clients want. Not just generic APIs
- 2. Ease of use: No smart contracts required to access the data.
- 3. Multiple data avenues – API, Notification, Webhook, Dashboards etc.
- 4. Decoded and Rich data – so transaction will have one line description such as you sent 100 ETH etc
- 5. Automated indexing of protocols
- 6. Custom data queries.
TAG: The next question is from @MarkZune
Could you please tell us some products you have built for your project? What do you intend to do to keep up adoption? What is your vision in next few years?
UNMARSHAL: We currently have APIS for wallet balances, Transactions list, Details, Protocol pairs, Protocol positions etc. We will be releasing the notification service soon. We have indexed 5 chains so far. Ethereum, Binance smart chain, Polkadot, Stafi and Edgeware.We will be onboarding Zilliqa, Avalanche, Algorand soon. We will start working on our Network in Q2 where we will have a decentralized network of indexers, decoders and validators. We will be building Profilt & Loss engine, Tax module and Analytics etc.
TAG: And the last question for this segment is from @filloilafill
Why do you think $Unmarshal is necessary for your project? What is the main role of UNMARSHAL in your project? What will be the benefits for holding $Unmarshal ! How did your project prevent early investors from selling their tokens and what benefits do you give them?
UNMARSHAL: As we are planning to build the decentralized network of indexers, Decoders, validators, Native token will be necessary to incentivise the network participants. All participants including Clients will be staking the native tokens and Data users will be paying through native token and indexers, decoders will get compensated in native tokens as well. Until we have our network, we will ask our clients to stake the tokens to use our applications. We are not charging clients as of now. They have to Stake the tokens based on their usage.
Anyone can participate in our network to earn tokens. Even if you do not have a technical background. We will be announcing various roles through our channels. Non technical community members can delegate their staking power to indexers and decoders.

TAG : “STAKING” is one of the STRATEGIES to ATTRACT USERS and ACHIEVE MASS ADOPTION
Does your GREAT PROJECT have plan about Staking?.
UNMARSHAL: Yes. We will have staking as soon as we release the token and Once the network is ready everyone has to stake tokens to use our network. Non tech users can stake and delegate the power.
TAG: What is your most ambitious goal of your project? We would appreciate it if you could share with us any Upcoming Updates?
UNMARSHAL: We are working on Automated Indexing protocol where protocols like Aave, Compund and Uniswap will be automatically indexed in real time. Since there are tens of new protocols releasing everyday. Our solution would benifit greatly for them.they can solve their Original problem and we will help with data needs.
TAG: How are technical functions such as scalability, workflow, customer privacy protection, and databases deployed and handled? Where do you feel need to improve in the future?
UNMARSHAL: We worked in companies such as Grab and gojek. You know the scale at which they operate. I was handling billions of requests and transactional data. So we have experience handling high scale applications. We have multiple layers of databases to solve Reliability and consistency problems. I will discuss the possibilty of creating a Vietnamese group with help of TAG community admins. We can help answer all your questions. We can work together to create a strong network. You will also earn incentives for your contributions.
TAG : Trust is very important in business; what makes investors; customers and users feel safe when invesr with Unmarshal?
UNMARSHAL: Unmarshal has public faces. Our linkedIn profiles are public. We have collectively 40 years of engineering and software development experience. You can be least bothered about our capabilities to solve the technical problems. We also have amazing Business and Marketting team that make sure unmarshal reaches every corner.
